This is the entry level Solar Regulator we recomend for Houseboating.  We would typically couple this Regulator with Solar Panels up to 900w for 12v systems. 1800w for 24v systems The Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100v/50A Solar Charge Controller is a high quality, robust Maximum Power Point Tracking charge controller. The 100/50 regulator is ideal for House Boats with up to 600A/H of batteries. The Victron technology comes into its own in the cases of a clouded sky and when light intensity is changing continuously.
The ultra fast MPPT controller will improve energy harvest by up to 30% compared to "Standard" PWM charge controllers and by up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers.
